KunstKoers
Open air exhibition signage

info

Kunstkoers is an annual open-air exhibition at De Nijverheid’s quayside, featuring seven large-scale outdoor art installations by emerging artists. The brief called for a durable, weatherproof design solution that could be reused each year.

I developed a signage system consisting of a main traffic-style sign with the logo, description, and floor plan, alongside individual artist signs. Constructed from metal, plastic, and concrete pedestals, the signage echo the raw, industrial character of De Nijverheid while contrasting it with a clear and bright graphic language for maximum readability.

HKU Uncommon Ground
Interdisciplinary music, performance and art festival

Info:
A youth-driven arts festival curated by the Musician 3.0 study at HKU Conservatory, showcasing third-year students’ ongoing creative processes through musical and interdisciplinary performances.
I developed the festival’s visual campaign, translating it’s diversity and experimental character into a cohesive identity. Inspired by natural, improvised movement, the design emphasizes fluidity and a shared point of departure, reflecting the collaborative spirit of the festival.

LES ÉÉN - Een handboek voor de beginnend kunstdocent
Publication

“LES ÉÉN” is a handbook for beginning art teachers, offering practical guidance on lesson planning, understanding creative processes, and providing constructive feedback. Created as my graduation project for the Fine Arts and Design in Education program, I designed and produced the publication using Riso printing to create a tactile and engaging format.

The book provides tools for artists and designers entering education, covering teaching skills, lesson design, and strategies for giving feedback. By combining practical guidance with a thoughtful visual approach, the handbook serves as both a resource and an example of how design can support learning and teaching.

Rainbow Mafia - The Village Where the People all Bite
A visual narratieve through an enchanted village

For Rainbow Mafia’s debut album “The Village Where the People All Bite,” I helped with the design of a self-produced 80-page art book that houses the physical album. My role focused on art direction, conceptual guidance, and technical support, shaping the visual world that illustrator (and bassist) Timon Vader carefully drew out. The book combines illustrations, photography, and lyrics into an immersive journey through ‘The Village’.
